Our 501c3 was designed to honor the legacy of Mrs. Juanita A. Portlock. Since the passing of Mrs. Portlock in 2016, we have looked at ways to honor her memory and her creativity. Juanita’s Red Room, a pop-up tea house, was created to pay tribute to her love of red and consumption of tea. Now, the Red Room has gone the next step by formalizing a path to award scholarships to students and start-ups pursuing the areas of involvement held dear by Mrs. Portlock. This is the second Juanita A. Portlock Memorial Scholarship Fund, Evening Tea, Dinner, and Fundraiser. Our Fund is a 501c3 charitable organization. A student and or start-up entrepreneur pursuing Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Event Planning, Fashion Design, Hospitality Management or Interior Design will be awarded a scholarship/stipend at the Dinner.
