Join us on October 30 as we celebrate Bay Area farms and chefs with food provided by The Perennial, one of Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants in America!
From 3pm to 7pm, we’ll open our doors for a one-of-a-kind culinary celebration featuring:
- Demonstrations by local chefs and farmers
- Several small bites provided by Chef Chris Kiyuna The Perennial, Chef Tu David Phu, and other top Bay Area restaurants and chefs (menu info coming soon)
- Interactive digital displays
- Cocktails and spirits
- Live music
- A screening of Farm-To-Fork SF’s latest short film
Through our film and live demonstrations, we’ll explore the impact and future of carbon farming, an alternative farming practice designed to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions in order to fight climate change.
Giving Back
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Perennial Farming Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating climate change from a culinary perspective.
About Farm To Fork SF
Farm-To-Fork is an event and Web series connecting food lovers and sustainability advocates, showcasing local food and drink from the Bay Area’s premiere farm-to-table chefs, restaurants, and food producers. Using video and interactive displays, our events offer guests an immersive experience that simultaneously entertains while expanding a dialogue on sustainability.
Prior to each event, we produce a mini-documentary telling the stories behind the intimate and interdependent relationship between chefs and local food producers. During the event, we screen the film on The Village’s projection wall and attendees have the chance to personally interact with all the players involved.
It’s all about facilitating understanding. Local food is delicious, but supporting our local food systems is an undertaking that requires knowledge and effort. As our knowledge grows, so too does our capacity to properly celebrate and advocate the local farm and those who help sustain it.
