This (virtual) class is for people who want to know more about wine. You might be a beginner or someone who knows the basics but wants to firm up what you know and feel less intimidated when faced with the task of choosing or buying our favourite drop.

What to expect from Intro to Wine Online
?? Run by a Sydney based Brit who really (really) loves wine
And I want to show you how to love it as much as I do
? Learn the basics of tasting
What to look for on sight, smell and taste and pick up tips you can use every time you pop a vino
? Sound wine smart (not pretentious)
No questions are stupid questions and this will be an interactive session, so ask everything you’ve ever been afraid to ask and get the answer that will make you look v intelligent in front of your mates/parents/date
? BYO Wine – let’s talk about it
I’ll suggest a white, rose and a red for you to bring and will go through topline info on the types of wines, general wine tips for each and you can ask any questions about the wine you’ve brought along
? Learn about the differences between natural, organic and biodynamic
These terms are cropping up more and more and can be confusing. We’ll bust the myths and will talk through the pros and cons of each
? Grab some snacks
This is a lunch time session so grab some food – I usually serve up some cheese, crisps, dips and the like!
? Go on then, I’ll throw in a quiz
Everyone loves a quiz!! Let’s see what you learned (disclaimer: the only prize is pride)
? Let’s drink together (but separately)
It’s a weird time for everyone but I’m hoping to bring you a bit of light relief and a fun place to learn about wine while sipping on the good stuff. Hope you can join me!
