Cafe Josie is thrilled to host a pop-up dinner featuring Chef Nathan Mayes of Paloma in Santa Fe, with mixed beverage pairings from Café Beverage Director Nathan Etheredge.
Enjoy vibrant, seasonal, Mexican-inspired courses by Chef Mayes, bringing the flavors of Mexico and Santa Fe to Austin for one night only.
Beverage selections will highlight some of our favorite global ingredients from Old-World Aperitifs to New-World spirits, Texas produce, a couple unique, funky wines, and some dazzling surprises.
Tickets are $90 per person including gratuity.
Course One: Tuna Tostada – Yellowfin Crudo, Green Onion Ash, Fermented Habanero, Toasted Tlayuda Shard, Chipotle Mayo, Avocado, Green Onion
Course Two: Local Mushroom Quesadilla – Huitlacoche, Quesillo, Mole Poblano, oregano, fresh masa
Course Three: Duck Confit Chile Relleno – Roasted Fennel, Golden Raisin, Carrot Chiltomate, queso fresco, cilantro
Course Four: Smoked Lamb Barbacoa- Heirloom Beans, New Mexico Chiles, smoked lamb Jus, shaved onion and mint
Course Five: Bunuelo – baked apple, cajeta pecans, Mexican vanilla ice cream
