This is our 2nd Annual Holiday Tasting and Private Holiday Shopping event at The Urban Grape – now on “Giving Tuesday”. Melanin Tuesday is our last Corks + Melanin event of the year.
Join us on Melanin Tuesday if you enjoy red, white, rose, or sparkling “bottled poetry”. We welcome you dry or sweet, light, medium, or full-bodied!
Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday, often stylized as #GivingTuesday for the purposes of hashtag activism, is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is touted as a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world”.
This year, on Melanin Tuesday, we would like you to donate to UG’s Wine Studies Award for Students of Color – a collaboration with Boston University. Also, a portion of the proceeds from UG Founders Hadley and TJ’s Progressive Wine Company will support the education of future cohorts.

A Wine Educator to tell us about 4 of Urban Grape’s Black Producers that we will be sampling
5 Bottles of wine
A Cheesemonger to tell us about Curds&Co cheeses that we will be sampling
A champagne toast
A private shopping experience – UG will be closed to the public
A chance to meet current members and supporters of Corks + Melanin
